A short comic story on our Charlie.

Charlie was born on 1st April 1959 to parents of Mr. & Mrs. Roach a rather large family indeed, main occupation invading kitchens. All over our land this is still practised today to some extent, but Charlie was different he suffered a rare condition his physical size grow to that of a human and walked upright, his family eventually made him an outcast, so Charlie went it alone in life and continued to invade kitchens looking for food as you could imagine he could only do this when the house was empty usually throughout the day.

Till one day when feasting on food in some unsuspecting home owners refrigerator in Western Sydney he witnessed a horrific crash of glass at the rear of the house, yes it was a burglar he came through the window and picked up the television and escaped back through the window in 2 minutes.

A stunned Charlie witnessing how easy this was considered a copycat  existence, if he sold what he stole he than would have money to buy food so after many years Charlie became an expert at this game he had no friends or family and no doubt upset many many residents all over the metro area, back in the seventies security was not considered as a neccessity so life was pretty easy for Charlie just smash the glass and he was in. After some 20 years in his profession, Charlie appeared to have left the area absolutely no sightings at all, rumour went around he may have retired up north.

Now coinsidently many years later a cattle farmer from Bathurst, NSW moved to Sydney for an easier life and one day mentioned that one foggy night 10klms out of Bathurst a truck driver came across a bad road accident involving a tourist bus and what was claimed to be a giant cockroach and next to him a crushed television set.

Yes, I said that must have been 2 Minute Charlie out on a job!

Charlie was created & no way was meant to resemble or copy any particular type of person or character any resemblance is purely a coincidence!
